The Tesla Model X is the most technically complex Tesla vehicle to window tint, and it rewards owners who choose an experienced specialist. The Model X features three distinct glass challenges that set it apart from any other production vehicle: the massive panoramic windshield that arcs up into the roof, the iconic falcon-wing rear doors with their split-pane glass design, and large fixed rear quarter windows. The falcon-wing door windows are particularly challenging because they consist of an upper fixed pane and a lower movable pane that must both be tinted to match while accommodating the hinge mechanism and ensuring the movable glass continues to seal and operate correctly. The panoramic windshield on the Model X is one of the largest front glass panels in production SUV history — its curvature requires specialized heat-shrinking techniques to achieve wrinkle-free coverage. BEST AUTO TINT has developed Model X-specific installation procedures refined over multiple years and hundreds of installations. We do not treat the Model X as a standard vehicle — it receives its own dedicated process and verified templates for all production generations.
The Model X is overwhelmingly chosen as a family vehicle, often spec'd with the six or seven-seat interior.
